2010 Mercedes Benz AMG E63 Review: Engine, Suspension, and Performance

The 2010 Mercedes Benz AMG E63 is part of the 2010 Mercedes Benz E-Class, which received a major facelift and left behind the friendly smile of the previous E-Class for the far more aggressive scowl. These upgrades have been echoed throughout the lineup, from the gas and diesel powered E350 through the E550, and those edgy improvements are punctuated by the power of the 2010 Mercedes Benz AMG E63. While the 2010 AMG E63 looks great, it's packed with enough power to keep up with just about any luxury car in the world and a revised suspension system to handle even the sharpest high speed turns.

The "E" in 2009 Mercedes Benz E350 stands for "Einspritzung", "fuel injection" in German. This does not separate the E-Class from the herd anymore, certainly not from the 2009 Mercedes Benz C300 - when it was being developed in the 1950's, it was a big deal. The W123 Series

In production between 1976 and 1985, the first Mercedes-Benz E-Class automobile differed from their predecessors in many ways. Along with Mercedes-Benz state-of-the-art features, such as the fuel tank assemblage over the rear axle to be shielded in an accident, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class automobiles were manufactured with a larger wheelbase and exterior dimensions.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class History (Part 2): W124

The W124 Series

The first officially dubbed E-Class Mercedes debuted in 1984 as the luxury executive car. The executive cars had front petrol or gasoline engines, offered with rear of 4-wheel drive. The W124's were manufactured from 1984 to 1995 and were built to last many miles.

The structure of the W124 was completely different due to the use of high-strength steel, making the body harder and lighter than its predecessors. The Mercedes-Benz W124 was a midsize vehicle that was slightly narrower than the W123 series.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class History (Part 3): W210

The W210 Series

The Mercedes-Benz W210 Series was manufactured from 1995 through 2002 and offered a saloon or station wagon body style. With a new dramatic styling, the wheelbase and length were made larger than its predecessor. In 1996, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class was Motor Trend's Import Car of the Year.

The W211 Series

The Mercedes-Benz began production of the W211 Series, the latest E-Class, in 2002 and continues until the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland in March of 2009 when the successor, the W 212 Series, is expected to launch. The W211 was produced on the automotive premises of its predecessor, the Mercedes-Benz W210 Series, sporting a refined body style.

In 1886 Karl Benz introduced the very first automobile named the Benz Patent Motor Car. The Benz car sported three-wheels and weighed about 200 lbs. The single-cylinder four-stroke engine produced 2/3 hp at 250 rpm and is considered by most to be the worlds first car. A few months later Gottlieb Daimler unveiled a four-wheeled vehicle. While each of these accomplishments are grand on their own, little did either man realize that they would later form one of the most prestigious, powerful and timeless automotive powerhouses in the world.

History of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The car was universally referred to as the "compact class," but was not officially named the C-Class until 1993 with the introduction of the second C-Class cars. The main differences between the C-Class and its forbearers the E, S, and SL-Class include the cost of the vehicle and their enhanced safety features.
