1993 190E Questions/Help

Being a new owner of a 1993 190E I have two problems I need help with.

The first being the fuel door doesn't open when I unlock the door/s.

The second concerns the stock radio. I can only hear very faint sound with the volume turned on high.

Any thoughts on what might be not working correctly?

For the fuel door, in the trunk behind where the fuel door is, you can move the plastic shield and behind it you will see a manual lever to release the door lock. Pull that and that should release the fuel door. Once unlocked, open the fuel door and spray some WD-40 where the pin holds the door closed. This will keep the pin from sticking.

As for the radio, the speaker wires are 15 years old and probably in need of some replacement. My 1989 sounded the same and I replaced all the wiring as well as my speakers and everything sounds great now.
