Exhaust Question 190E 16V

I have a pretty stock 86 190E 16v. I did the suspension last year. H&R Springs with Tokico adjustibles, and did away with the SLS. Now I'm needing to do the exhaust and wanted to see what other members had done. I've seen the Remus stainless steel exhaust, but they're alittle pricey at $600 plus for the muffler alone. Any ideas? I'm currently the second/third owner. Second owner was my father. The car was purchased in Canada. The original owner said that it was the European version....is there any way of verifying? The whole car is in kilometers and celcius, as well as I have the headrest on the rear seats. I'm just looking for ideas for exhaust without breaking the bank.

the German designers like stock, its cheapest, won't try to suck air out of opening valves.
