Angry HELP! Radiator backing up-sounds like boiling

Today, my 190e 2.6 started making a boiling noise when I parked. I opened the hood, and that plastic container that holds the anti-freeze was boiling over (backing up and over flowing). Hopefully, this means I only need a thermostat...Anyone know what might cause this? Your help is appreciated. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

It never really came out of the overfill hose (although I did see some water on the ground under the car)..not a lot though. Thoughts?
