There is a black gallardo in my neighborhood. Its very intense looking - shines very well - but you lose A LOT of the detail in the car when it is in black.
The bright loud colors (besides attracting all the stares and attentions) show the lines, airdams, arches, shapes, etc much better than when its a dark car.
