The whole exterior panel sections will shatter, but the positioning of the passengers is designed purposely to be centered. A hit from any angle absorbs pretty much the same amount of energy. If you watch the video, this little thing gets hit hard, and sure you'll spin and all 4 airbags will go off, but in the end the doors will open and you'll walk out.
