Hi DES 1,
if it is the same method as the sl 55,you need a thin flat bottom srewdriver,fix tape around the paint work of the side marker,then gently insert the screwdriver in between the marker and tap covered body and prise it off.
I would loosen it all round,there are normally a few clips holding it in,be carful not to bust them off,it really is easy,just take your time and put 2 layers of tape on to prevent you from scuffing the paint work.
I am useless at any form of diy,but it took me 4 mins to do both sides.
