I had experienced the same issue. Around the time that the oil would need to be changed I would get the low oil message. It would come on and go away on its own. I checked it a couple of times and it told me that the service was on time. I had noticed that it would occur if I was on uneven surface. I finally got a reading saying that I needed to add a quart. Apparently if it's less than a quart, you will get the service is on time. I only got the low oil message when I was driving.
Does this occur all the time or after an extended amount of time after your oil change?
