OE Tuning Dyno Results

Also TTM did airbox mod and charcoal delete and K&N Filter.

Results:

Run 1 was 4th gear with cooldown no ice
Run 2 was 3rd gear, less load = less power
Run 3 was 4th gear, decent cool down - first run with ice
Run 4 was 4th gear, long cool down - second run with ice big power
Run 5 was 5th gear, seemed to hit 190mph speed limiter - with ice, biggest power run more torque until 6k.

I dont know why the torque isnt coming through on the DynoJet file or on the software but my max was 400 on the final 5th gear run. These are the SAE results. STD and UNCORRECTED were show 450+ HP to the wheels on the 5th run. and over 410 Torque.

Conditions : 60% humidity and about 70 degrees.

See results below. Needless to say I am quite happy with the result of this tune. Wish I could show the torque, ill get the guy to send me files again tomorrow or explain how to view it.

447 WHP to the wheels?? WOW! Is it the ice that is producing this kind of power?

Ice was placed on the intake to keep her cool. The Ice got her down to regular running temps.

Off the street with very little cool down she was making 426. This OE tune is great. Jeremy is the man!

Im really impressed with the results. I was hoping for 430. Jeremy said about 430 also. I guess I got a strong one. Wish I did a pre tune Dyno now.

How are you going to run with a bag of ice on your intake at the track?

It would have been nice to see a baseline/before dyno and a few runs without the ice.

First run was very little cooldown after driving 25 miles to the shop with the dyno. No ice. 426 to the wheels.

2nd run was 3rd gear so bleh...

3rd run ice was used to cool her down. As you know C63's run very hot. In a shop with only fans blowing on her and not the normal air from the street she gets very hot. Cooled her back down, then did the run. Ice really not playing a big factor bro. Just getting her temps back down after each run.

Edit: by the way its quite common to throw ice on the intake AT THE TRACK between runs.

Um, OK.

Like I said, it would have been nice to see a baseline and then some consecutive runs without ice left on your intake. It's hard to figure out what you actually gained with out that baseline run and some consistency in the after runs.

Cooling down the intake between runs (at the dyno or the track) is a bit different than leaving the bag of ice on during the runs.

Again... 426 first run off the street no ice. Reading problems? Or did you need to see 3 runs off the street with no ice? Really not hard to figure out what I gained. There is always one...

The ice was not on during the runs. Only in between the runs.

Wow, aren't you snippy.

It takes a few pulls for the C63 to start showing peak HP on the dyno. I know this from personal experience with my own C63 (60+ pulls) and in the half-dozen other C63s I've analyzed data from.

I'm confused as how you know what you gained. What where the results when you dynoed your car before the tune?

I do appreciate you clarifying the whole ice thing. It was not very clear in your original post.

Sorry, don't mean to be snippy. I'm used to being defensive on this forum.

I see what you mean about not knowing my pre tune dyno numbers. I wish I did a pre tune pull now to really know how much gain I got. I even said it in my 2nd post. Your right in saying I really dont know how much gain. I was just using stock numbers as my baseline. I would be surpised if my stock C63 was putting down 400HP to the wheels. Not really sure, so you are correct about the gains.

That was the reason for the ice. We did a lot of runs in quick succession. about 5 mins in between and she got pretty hot quick so we threw on the ice to get her cooled quickly. Sorry I didnt clarify in the OP. I just added the ice to be honest about cooling her down in between runs and showing the gains from it. Ive done it many times on the track (Cooling with ice)

I appreciate any input and knowledge on the C63 as I am by far not an expert, so thank you. Ive seen your work on your C63. Wanna see some dyno numbers after the MHP headers!

It's all good. I'm just looking for data. I love this stuff.

By looking at your power curve I'm sure you picked up a nice chunk of power vs. stock. The stock curve tapers off to a near flat-line around 5000 RPM. Your chart shows it pulling strong to the top!

I'm looking forward to seeing your results from the track.

Thats really where im feeling the big gain. She doesn't stop pulling until redline now. As you stated she would float a bit after 5K.

The track tells all! Hopefully Mthis can make it in 2 weeks and ill have him vid my runs and ill vid his!

This is my 5th run in 5th gear. The best. I figured out the DynoJet software now to show torque and RPM.

Nice, nice, nice. Your new car sounds like a dragon! Pulling really hard and your tune is showing excellent gains. Seeing the before numbers is always fun because it puts things in perspective. People forget or just get lazy about it. It's like seeing a hoarders house before and after intervention.

I ice often too. Between sessions...

Nice gains, glad Jeremy is getting it done!

As for icing, it's very common to ice down the cars between runs to get more consistent runs. Letting the car heat soak with multiple runs back to back IMO just makes tuning that much more difficult.
