Any RAZRs not compatible?

Just wondering if anybody had found a RAZR that wasn't compatible yet or if AWS was trying to sucker me into paying $350 for a new one. I talked to the lady their and I checked my software version and she said it would not be compatible with the V60 Bluetooth adapter. I don't want to pay the $325 and find it doesn't work and not be able to return the adapter. Any suggestions? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

I think I read somewhere that they would refund your money w/in 30 days, if you were not completely satisfied.

Welcome to the board!

Thanks Jay- also wondering if I want the V60 adapter I have to get the V60 cradle, right? is there anything else to buy or involved? Or is it as simple as plugging in the cradle, put the adapter in the cradle and it all working? I have a 2003 c230K and I thought I had read on here some differences between model years about what is required.

if your car did not come with the phone system, there is more needed than just the cradle and puck. you need at least the PSE (located in the trunk). The only exceptions I believe are 2003-2004 w211 (eclass) and 2004 w220 (sclass) and cars with MHI system installed.

i don't think your car fall into these categories. check the phone bulletin for your car:

my prelim testing with a Sprint Sanyo Katana phone shows it does work with the v60 puck.

I have not activated the phone yet because I can't figure out how to transfer my contact list from my old phone. No software i have will work with this phone (Bitpim and futuredial).

but even not activated I was able to establish a link, make a call with *611, and see a phonebook containing 1 contact so it should work.

An update,

I did order the V60 Bluetooth Puck, and did pair it up with the Verizon Chocolate. (I had a backup in case it didn't work with the Verizon Razor). Anyway, the gamble paid off and it works great. I have voice recognition handsfree system and am able to use that fully (including voice input of numbers or names stored).

Anyway, my wife says when I call her on it, the only thing is that if I talk a bit fast, some words cut off, but if I talk normal speed she couldn't tell it was via Bluetooth.

Thanks for the update but is there any news on the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module & Motorola Q fix that Motorola and Mercedes Benz is working? Motorola just released new software for Q and I notice that now the service bars work but still no phone book or voice.

I have the Samsung i730.

So this will only work for phone calls but no phone book?

That's too bad I really wanted this to work.

Nextel Blackberry 7520 + 2007 E350 w/Pkg 1

Does anyone know if this phone will work with the handsfree system of my car?. I'm willing to buy the bluetooth puck if it will pair with my system or a fixed cradle. If Nextel won't work - why not?. Is is worth going to the dealer and just trying to see if bluetooth pairs up or am i waisting my time.
thanks

At this point no Nextel phones have been certified for the MB system. For a complete list of approved handsets visit www.wireless4mb.com.

CDMA (Sprint)
Sanyo SCP-6600, aka KATANA (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)
Make phone call, and receive phone call only!

If you guys could post the different phones that you have tested with the AWS Bluetooth doogle and what features is supported (ie. phonebook download, caller ID, call waiting, etc).

CDMA (Verizon):
MB Motorola v710 (2, 3, 4)
Motorola E815 (3, 4)
LG VX-8100 (1, 2, 3, 4)
LG VX-9800 "V" (1, 2, 3, 4)
RIM BlackBerry 7250 (1, 2, 3, 4)

GSM (Cingular, T-Mobile, Unlocked, etc)
Motorola RAZR V3 (3, 4)
Motorola V330 (3, 4)
Motorola V551 (3, 4)
Motorola PEBL (3, 4)
RIM BlackBerry 7100g (1, 2, 3, 4)
RIM BlackBerry 7290 (1, 2, 3, 4)
Motorola ROKR E1 (3, 4)

[THE MORE NUMBERS ON THERE, THE LESS FEATURES IT SUPPORTS]

KEY:
1. No PhoneBook Download
2. No Call List Download
3. No 3 way
4. No SMS Download
5. No DTMF Tones
6. No Signal Strength Indicator
7. No Speed Dial

* If you can't Initiate a call/dial a number, accept a call or reject a call it doens't work at all.

NOTE: Number 1 and 2 are probably the most important. 3 and 4 will probably not be supported at all. 4, 5, 6, 7 should be standard if it works.

Today there are less phone options at www.wireless4mb.com . Last week they had all the above listed and now they only show the RAZR and SLVR for Cingular.

So what is the downside to using a phone with a software version that is not on the approved list. The phone I have has a later version of the software than what they list as approved.

Talking Balckberry 8700g (Cingular)

I looked for compatibility info for a Balckberry 8700g (Cingular) elsewhere and could not find it. So, I took the plunge and decided to be guinea pig.

Good news! The 8700g works almost perfectly with the MHI Bluetooth Interface Module.

My car: 2007 E350/P2/333(Sports)

Phonebook downloads
DTMF tones work
Signal strength meter shows

No Call List Download
Not sure about 3 way
No SMS
Not sure about Speed Dial

My one complaint is that the phone book seems to fill up and throw an error code. I am not sure how much it can store but it is more than 100 numbers. It is probably a KB limit.

Anyways, I hope this helps someone.

I got the Motorola KRZR for Verizon and it works fine with the following exceptions:

1. Doesn't show if a number is work, cell, home, etc. b/c the phone stores different numbers under the same name entry.

2. No call waiting feature that I can find.

Puck with T-mobile Blackberry 8700g

Has anyone tried the V60 Bluetooth Cradle Adapter with the T-mobile Blackberry 8700g. Wireless4MB says they do not accept returns so would greatly appreciate some help.
