Command Volume Button Splitting

Guys

Im after some help my command volume button on my clk 04 has started to break down, i got the unit off mbsteve a while back and i want to know if i can just pull the knob off and exchange it with my audio 10 one

is this possible??

just take it to the dealer and have them find one. Won't be more than $10
