Use of Comand MCS2 in Europe
Hi,
I own a GL320 cdi with a Comand Navigation System (MCS2). I have moved to Europe and took the car with me. In Europe they use the Comand APS Navigation System. Everything in my Comand works (radio, camera, bluetooth, compass), but when I try to use the European DVD it doesnīt work. Somebody told me that itīs because the diffreences between MCS2 and APS. Does anybody know where could I get a MCS2 DVD with European maps, or how to solve it?? Thanks in advance Rod |

If you look at the map DVDs available for Europe, there is none for the US MCS headunit. Actually why would they put a different unit to the US cars if it was capable of using European map discs.
I'm afraid the only option is to swap the head unit to a European Comand APS. By the way, does your radio work with the Euro channel raster? What about playing DVD movies, did you have it changed for region code 2 (or does the US HU play DVD movies?). |

Yeah, I just bought a US spec C63 in Germany. Now the dealer is telling me I can't use my Navigation in europe. What kind of crock is that? Is there no fix for this?
