Home stero vs car stereo power??
Hey guys. I have a Miller and Kreisel V-125 powered sub box for my home stereo. The sub it self is blown. I need to replace it. I was thinking of putting in a JL Audio W3v12-8 which is a car speaker as most of you probably know.
As far as I know, its an 8ohm sub so it will play safe on my home stereo, right? Also, the W3 has a RMS of either 300 or 500 watts, in a car. Isn't is different for a home? The powered sub box I have is only 150 watts I believe. Is that going to be a problem? I heard 500 watts from a car is different then 500watts from a home because of AC/DC or something. Home power is more efficient I think. Anyone know anything about this?
