Mods usually don't add value. In some cases they even lower it.

Anything can happen if you find the right buyer who happens to like what you have done and/or doesn't know how to value a car. With that said, and I am not trying to offend you (also, it is tough to judge by the pictures so maybe I am not getting a good representation) but the car appears to have many issues that are going to affect its "curb appeal." The first thing is the paint. It looks like it has been repainted - and repainted poorly. The screwed up c230 on the trunk and the odd center emblem jump out. The rocker panels and seams do not look good either. The grille really cheapens the car's look in my opinion. I don't think most people would find your wheels to be an upgrade in visual terms and the fact you have not lowered the car after the wheel upgrade makes it look odd. Again though, the paint job just jumps out and makes me think of a car that has had a hard life and might be a rebuilder. A prospective buyer is going to run a Carfax. Are there any skeleton's in the closet?

I know the 42k mileage probably seems like it should be quite a draw but other things overshadow that. You also have to consider that people have many other C's that they can buy which are in pristine condition and literally were driven by little old ladies. Your car looks a bit "ridden hard and put away wet" compared to those.

I mention these things so that you will consider pricing it to sell and thus get it sold versus trying to swing for the fences with a high price that means it is going to sit around for a long time.

if he got even 4k hed be lucky. exterior looks looks likes its got 200k and treated badly. if you got the stock **** put it back on. those rotors are completely unnecessary and pointless on a c230, just wears the pads down fast so put the stock ones back on

yes allof you are right it was repainted ans the rear lip is f**k up need new one the wheels are not the best thing the best thing i think is to keep the car and just get a new car what i plan for my car is to lower it repainted silver stagger rims new customs chrome grill and just have the car as a toy

what im thinking about getting is the 2008 BMW 328
personally i think BMW engines are better than MB engines
my dad has the e38 and that car has 213000 miles and still runs like new and evrything works fine and the engine still has the same power as when the car had 13000 miles

You'll find someone who will take it. My old Boss took a look at mine and sold himself! All I did was drive it right around em (slow) and kept it lookn right and One day he said "You wana get rid of that car you come see me now heard me" I thought to myself this southern **** thinks he's smart and gonna out negotiate me.

What I do is always Hold Price and HOLD! Just like a card game sometimes I gotta Bluff to win a pot cause odds are against me But I Use the Odds to Get me to do it! BLuff In other words get a price that works for selling the car and you the profiteer-Ya Heard Me!

Put a Sign On he Back window After returning the car back to stock everything including the rotors ( whata waste of money why did you do that?)
Have it detailed since you have no apreciation for MB & think that BMW is the car GOD APeal Is Money!!! have it detailed at a MB Dealer then do the lube oil filter deal make sure the ***** is ready to hit-Ya Heard Me!

Bet You get more than you anticipated in the begining BUT YOU GOTTA PUT SOME WORK INTO IT AND MONEY OUT DA POCKET KID! THis is why MB is for the RICH YA HEARD you wana play cheap scape than Let it go and don't come back...HIt it and quit just like a female...spending money on aftermarket rotors MAYNE go get that ***** detailed at the dealer and set it stock with a window sign...

Make sure you come up with a HOLDING price that will work on both side's and do me a favor Don't buy another MB...If you don't Know how to play than stay out game-Ya heard Me!

Calm

down guys,no sense in getting beaten up more than the car already is
Sell off the rims if you have the oem to reinstall, list it for 5g and hope to get 4.It needs work.If the engine was as well taken of as the rest of the car,it needs plenty of work.Cut your losses and run.

I am having a hard time believing that having a C280 means being rich.

To the OP: why do you want to sell it? your engine at 42K miles has the potential to last until at least 180K without overhaul (of course if it's regularly maintained).

Mine has 166K now, and it has a special space in the garage I was actually offered 5000 for it, but what can I buy for 5000 nowadays??

If you do want to sell it, take it back to stock, don't worry about the rotors if you have stock wheels, sell your mods and buy S600 grille.

Good luck!

That bottom Rocker Panel

Did dude paint that too! Spray dat B with that bed liner spray that bottom panel before the street at each side that would bring that back drop it! drop that car 2 inchs and paint the brake calipers then have it detailed and lubed thats what i would do maybe even have somebody wet sand and reapply the same color paint cause its obvious why

prob the blur he used on the plate

Sounds like a lot of work ($$$), should go for something wild if going through the hassle of painting it, although that palladium silver on the new c's is nice...

take pics of the process if you decide to do it

best thing is to put a forsale sign on there and see what kind of offers you get . you might find some one willing to give you a good price. 8k is a little high for your car and its not even a sport or c43 but maybe some one out there will pay what you want ...
