HELP! SPEEDO AND ESP/BAS/BRAKE LIGHTS ON WHEN COLD!

MY SPEEDO ISN'T WORKING AND MY ESP/BAS LIGHTS ARE COMING ON WITH MY BRAKE LIGHTS ONLY WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE...DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION OR HAVE/HAD THIS ISSUE? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

It could be any of a number of things. The simplest is that your battery is marginal and the cold weather is hurting it even more. Or you could have the K40 relay problem. Or...? Nobody can tell you much given the limited information you posted.

Hi from italy!
Got the same problem,BAS/ESP lights on, so the car won't work, since the automatic gears will only go to the speed they have in memory,
A nightmare,and even more, noone has a clue wher eto look for .
They said change the brake switch, which I did, but nothing changed.
Replaced the "rotation speed sensor(E BAy) but nothing changed, anyone of you all has any advise 8Do not want to spend a fortune for such an !old" car now.

Ok so I've changed my brake light switch, K40 relay, OVP relay and still having the same problem...OBD2 codes are P0720, P0500, P0136. The P0500 code says wheel sensor "A". Which sensor is "A"?

Also after the car gets warmed up for about ten minutes it runs great with no issues whatsoever? WTF?

Drives: 1994 c280 totaled :( 1986 190e 2.3 16 valve
Have you checked your battery? charge level, electrolyte level?
