No trans dip stick?? 97 w202

I am looking at a 1997 c280 with 120k next saturday, It is ideal. but... the owner told me there is no transmission dip stick. Uhh... hmmm... he might be retarded but he didnt seem incompetent. He said he checked the fluid by pulling a bolt on the tranny like you do a manual. He said the fluid was good. I was planning to change it the second I buy it, If the pictures I received are real I surly will buy it. But no tranny dip stick?? really?? this makes me think the tranny has been replaced. What do you think?

Thanks
-Brian

He is right about there not being a dipstick provided in the later w202. You are supposed to go and pay the stealership $$ to check it. The rest of us buy a dipstick online.

The part about a bolt where you check is a load of BS in regard to U.S. auto trannies except if you are going to drain and refill (that is not checking). Because of that, I would doubt anything the guy tells you.

If you pop the hood and look at your engine it will be on the back of the engine on the right hand side, It might have a cap that locks. If you still have trouble with it look at your owners manual.
