new purchase 98 c230.A few Questions

I just bought a 98 c230 with 98k miles for 4 thousand. It has no major defects, It has some surface rust which I will have taken care of. It is immaculate inside and out(save the rust). I have a few questions. How do I reset the trip feature of the odometer? and how do I remove the original cassette player? Does this vehicle have a cd changer hook up? where would it be located?

Thanks
-Brian

This the owner's manual for the 98 C Class. Download it and save it before it disappears. It answers a lot of your questions:

I have figured everything out except where the cd changer cord is. I pulled the radio and I found the female lead coming out of the radio but where is the male end? I think it is in the trunk but I cant find it. Do you have Any experience with this?

Thanks
-Brian

You will probably have to pull out/back the passenger side trunk lining to find it.

Drives: lots of cars
1. CD change interface is in the trunk by the battery...
2. You need keys or blades to slide the cassette player out
3. Get the correct harness to install a new stereo
4. You need to follow a sequence to reset the maintenance mileage
5. Just push the 0 button to reset the trip computer...

I may be wrong on some of these but you will find that the 98 c230 is a pretty nice car and easy to work on...
