Color code

Hey all, I have a 97 c230 with some minor rust, I am planning to sand/prime/paint/clear coat it. But I am having trouble locating my vehicles color code to order the right paint. Where might I find my color code?

It may be on the door card. If not, try the Russian site where you input your VIN and it gives you the productions order for your car. Google for it.

Thanks, Instead I called a dealer and gave them the vin, My code is 040 black

. I will post some before and after pics of the rust repair.
