HELP? Coolant message
Hey all,
I went ahead and got my window washer fluid tank replaced today due to a leak on the bottom of the tank. but after the tank being replaced, a message on the dash popped up. it says, "CHECK COOLANT"
I checked the coolant, its still quite high, drove the car around a while, normal car temperature, no over heating, no check engine.
I drove the car to a nearby mercedes dealership, and the lady at the front desk had told me, "its probably the sensor ticking off"
So I was wondering if you guys have any clue what might have really happened?!?

Coolant level low does not mean high engine temp.
Not to worry, I got that msg some time ago. I was checking my coolant level at every stop. I added some distilled water, and away it goes. Trust the temp sensor to tell you what is happening.

I didnt really "fix" anything, but the sound hasnt been comin up, its not as bad as yours, its just a small "tick" every time the brake is applied and released.

Actually, I think mine was very similar Buellwinkle. When they told me the sensor was the same for both, I told them that they just put in Windshield Washer fluid and I put some coolant in the night before. They must've done the same as you and were able to get the light to go away. Haven't had the problem ever since that one time.
