P0410 Secondary air injection malfunction

Hello, I'm wonder if anybody out there has a C320 that is throwing this code. Air pump and relay are both working upon cold starts, then shut off as normal. I replaced the check valve along with the air pump change over valve. A few days after erased, it throws the code again. It does not relate to the Clk,Ck models. Mine is a 2001 C320. Thanks Tim To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

What are the exact codes you are throwing? The secondary air injection is basicly a smog pump. It only comes on for 30 seconds or so in the mourning upon cold starts. Mine is located easy access on top of the motor however some are located at the bottom. It's an electric motor located in a black plastic housing. It's job is to oxygenate the cats on cold starts for less polluntion.

So how do you know the relay is working ok? If your relay has not been replaced then replace it. It is a $20 part that is intermittent when the contacts become pitted.
