Sorry, they're not on a w203, but a w208. Just trying to give you something.

Those are lorinser (style) wheels... THe SLR wheels are a bit different, but as far as I know the lorinser wheels are the closest to the SLR wheels...

Yeah, the lorinsers are straight whereas the SLR's are kinda swirled... but that's what I knew of. Searching, even with Google, seems to show that NO one has done this.

I honestly believe the SLR wheels look good ONLY on SL and S class.

I saw it on a w203 and it didn't look that great.

Those are Lorinser LM-6 reps. I have yet to see SLR reps but that's not to say they don't exist.

dud i saw those rims on a W124 wagon i think a 300TE it was so bad ass! he had lorinser body kit and it was really really low. i saw a w203 with them on also it was ok.. doesnt really compliment the curves on the w203. only good thing with these rims is thier really unique and hard to come by. i was gonna buy the same rims for my car before i just coudnt find a dealer. but now some dealer posted here selling them.. makes me want to get them for the heck of it. i admit they really really look good! specially with a silver MB.

I have seen a few members putting those on their W203 few years ago probably back in ~2003-2004. Did not like it though.

+1

Maybe the LM6 would look nice but the SLR has tooo many turns (twists) so it doesn't go to well. But I guess that all depends on the color and setup. But the ones I saw they looked not that great.

Here are Lorinser LM6 reps?

I don't think I've ever seen the actual SLR reps. These are all Lorinser LM-6 reps. I had'em and I loved'em. mine was 18x8.5 and 18x9.5

and these are the 19" Lorinser RS8. they're authentic on this C32, but there are also replicas out there.

Here are the SLR rims,

Pretty cheap in price. They say OEM but who knows. Price is too good to be true.

There are a few high end Mercedes wheels that are made of Magnesium. I was talking to the fire brigade in Boca Grande, FL... They were hosing down a burning house with a Merc in the garage. They didn't know the wheels were magnesium... they just exploded.

Once those wheels catch on fire good luck trying to extinguish them (very flammable).

Porsche GT has magnesium wheels as well.

yup. they're strong and light as hell, but they also have such a low melting point. i'm probably wrong, but I think the first road car that used magnesium wheel was the McLaren F1.

I remember seeing a news story online, where an SLR caught on fire after an accident. The driver couldn't make it, because the wheels bursted into flames.
