Talking Quick question about rotors + pads

I want to change my rotors and my pads.
My parts store told me that they can offer me:

Powerdiscs front and rear
Pads front and rear
Pads for handbrake
Mounting parts for the pads
Warning indicator

Do i need to change also the warning indicator and mounting parts for the pads? Because i am not sure if i need the last 2 parts.

Mounting parts for pads , you mean the "carriers" or brackets? no, you dont need to change them beacuse they dont wear out. and the warning indicator, its just a little cable that plugs into the caliper if i remember correctly, and if its not broken because you ran the brake pads too low , it does not need to be replaced.

It depends on the model year. Some have two, some one. I believe the later years went to one sensor as a cost savings measure.

From what I understand they do wear out. You will begin to hear clicking noises. You can probably get away without replacing them once or twice.

Looks good to me, never seen that groove pattern on a disc before.

Well, just ATE produces this type of discs (rotors) . (with that pattern)
I hope it will look good with black callipers.

I like black calipers, have them epoxy coated black on my Mustang, and looks good and hides brakes dust pretty well, easier to clean too. Looks a lot better than the factory "rust" color.
Let us know how it turns out.

I was thinking to go also with silver callipers, but i think black is better.

Has anyone done a step by step how-to on pad and rotor replacement? I'm coming out of warranty and its time to start looking around a bit. I'm no mechanic but I'm used to doing my own brake work on my track car.
