**Outkasted's C230 SS Project in the Works**

Hey MBWorld, Jeff Here

So, I've wanted to do one of these step by step/Evolution Of... posts for a while now, But never really had the time or Finances to Modify my Benz....... That Is Until Now!

I've done a couple of the cheap subtle mods here and there the past year and a half of ownership, But lately I have been chomping at the bit to spend some money and make the car look and perform the way I intended when she was first purchased.

So Far to Date (4/20/2011) I have purchased and installed the following:
-Flat star Hood badge
-Tinted Windows 20% all the way around including sunroof.
-Hard Wired Garmin GPS
-Hard Wired Laser Detector
-Performed the DIY - AUX input for iPod, mp3 player, etc. (Thank You MBW for the step by step instructions!!)
-Performed the DIY - M271 $12 Hose Replacement (Thank You Again MBW!!)
-Performed the DIY - Thermostat Replacement on W203 (Thanx MBW!)
-Performed the DIY - Trunk Lid De-badging
-Installed Blacked Out Type-S LED Tail lights
-Installed Blacked Out front Side Marker Lens
-Vinyl Tinted Side Mirror LED turn signals
-Yellow Tinted Transparent Vinyl-ed Fog Lights
-Yellow PIAA 194 City Light replacement in High Beams
-White LED License Plate light Replacement
-Black Vinyl Covered... ALL Factory Chrome side molding strips.
-Flat Black Coated Front OEM Grill
-4 Hankook staggered HANKOOK V12 evo K110 tires

Then this past week I purchased a 24"x60" Piece of 3M Di Noc Carbon Fiber Vinyl and decided I was going to take a crack at getting rid of that dented and unsightly Aluminum trim inside the Benz.
Easter Weekend is when the Transformation took Place!!
If it wasn't for MBW Member Pawe's silver and black cf themed w203 Post, I don't think I could have had the car torn apart as fast without breaking clips and panels, Thanks Homie!!

Here are the Pics:

When I'm not lurking on MBWorld.org, You can usually find me on my Local Site Moderating... www.TampaRacing.com

SORRY For The Poor Lighting, I'll get some better pics at a Later date while the Sun is Out.

Re-Coating my Flat Black Grill, Discovered a few little chips that were driving me nuts

Next On The To-Do List, Purchase a Ghostrider @P1 Performance Rear Camber Kit then finally Install these H&R Springs and Koni Yellows that have been sitting in the Garage for 6 months !!!

These Pics were Taken back in January 2011, Car was filthy and my normal Nikon Lens was down for the count, Pics are poor quality..... But you get the drift.

Haha, It's So Funny you say that!
I haven't been pulled over in 7 Years until just the other day.
I was trying to get my kids to school on time and got a sweet $278 speeding ticket.
The State Trooper told me "The car was very Nice Looking.. but the tint was asking for trouble, $148 fines x 3 if he was a Jerk Trooper".
I said "Sorry", He said "don't let me see you again and have a nice day".

I have 3 cop friends, They have worse infractions on their own personal modified vehicles.
They say here in Florida, You won't get stopped or ticketed for tint or blacked out tails unless you do something stupid to make them pull you over... like speeding or driving reckless.

My car has looked like this for more then a Year and I haven't had a single problem, I'll just take my chances.

Too Bad your not Local to me, I'd wrap all of your pieces for a Pizza and pack of Corona!! LOL

I had such an absolute Blast wrapping these pieces, That I did some pieces in my Girls 2010 Civic too.
I went to a Local Fast Five Movie premiere and Car Show last night and saw a ton of imports that had 3M Ni Doc on body panels....After seeing the possibilities.... I'm looking to maybe wrap some subtle things outside the car, Roof, Grill, and maybe the center of the hood to cover up rock chips. Hmmm

I think it will blend nicely with the CF Front Lip and Rear Deck Lid Spoiler that I plan on purchasing from Gary here in a couple weeks.

I feel you man! Im taking my chances too. I have my windshield tinted and the GSPs (ga state patrol) over here go crazy for that. But wow, almost 300 bucks that's steep.

I hate being in GA just because no one else on the forum, as far as I know, is in my area.

Yeah you should do the grille man! Really curious to see how the black/CF theme will look. I like the yellow film on the fogs. I'm actually getting that done to my car tomorrow. Oh, and how was Fast Five?

Yeah The Ticket sucks, Going to have to take the class and get those points deducted on my license within 30 days so I don't loose my Job, Probably do it online Friday on my day off.

Fast Five was Very Impressive IMO, Especially seen in IMAX!
I really didn't like F&F3 and 4, Kinda Cheesy at times, But This One was done right!
The Plot almost reminded me of Oceans Eleven, But non the less very action packed, and almost all of the scenes were believable.
The list of Characters were a great and their lines were hilarious.
I might go and see it again before it leaves the theatre,... And I would Highly recommend seeing it to everyone..... (except people that want to take their little kids) There are a few Adult scenes and some select language.

I'd be honered to wrap your interior!!
PM Me your number and I'll give you a call during the week, We can talk details.

I'm actually looking to do a whole lot more Di Noc Vinyl wrap within the next few weeks.
Next Weekend I'm Doing a Hood and some accents on my Girls 2010 Civic in CF, Wrapping a Hood, Roof, Trunk Hatch, and ITR Wing on my Buddy's 2001 Integra in CF, Also doing a full Di Noc Matte Black Body Wrap on a '93 Integra, Then after all of that is out of the way, I'll be Putting my Benzino on a Fiber Diet of it's own.

I've been doing Vinyl lays professionally for years, However some time in 2009 I Got burned out and needed a break.
Started Playing with this Di Noc Material a couple weeks ago..... and I Think it has Re sparked my Interest Level 10 fold, I love how flexible it is when properly heated and treated!

Thank You All for the Complements!!!!!

Very impressed I purchased the CF wrap from a membver of this bpard and had it applied to my '05 C230 Kompressor and the guy messed up the material and I took it off andnever did it again! However I think you sparked it back up, I too am in Kissimmee and I know you JP - Sean from speedzone..... Anyhow great work to a great vehicle!

Very well done! You make me want to redo my interior.... Where did you get instructions to remove all the smaller door pieces? Or did you just know from experience?

Updates of the Benz............... 5-24-2011

This past weekend I put some serious time into the car.
I could feel and visually see that my Brakes have been getting worse the last few weeks , Then last Wednesday I got The all mighty "Brake Wear" message on the Dash.
I had no other choice but to invest the money and get them replaced.
I ended up replacing all 4 Rotors, All Pads, and all Sensors, a little under $700 later she stops on a dime!!
On Saturday my Girl and I did a multi step Clay, Wash, and a full 4 step "Back To Black" by Turtle Wax job.

The car Looks absolutely Amazing, I couldn't be happier!!!!

Next Project, Start my Headlight Projector Retrofit.
Pics will be posted as I gain progress.
