NEW Design Door Pins Installed From Dealer

I took my car to the dealer and they replaced the door pins in the back seat on both side.

However, they did not have to take apart the door and replace the whole mechanism like people have posted in the past...

Apparantly, MB has come out with a new design and a new part number that fits directly onto the old door pin stud and is secure and does not come off...

Anybody else receive this new part when yours was fixed???

Wonder if they can make accessory door pins that fit easily over the stud as well that are more attractive... Right now my two front carbon fiber pins with MB look great, but it was near impossible getting a compression fitting to work on these for the back...

Well, if you pulled and they didn't budge, they must be the new design...

Can you tell me how you changed them out? I could only find something on this forum about taking two torx screws out, and yank out the doorpanel?

Then how do you replace the door pins themself?

They look the same but are made of a less brittle plastic. They fixed mine but I pulled them off (took alot of pulling) and mounted my aluminum pins. The new pins didn't break when they came off.
