Very very Cool Feature if you have Tele-Aid

Anyone out there who thought Tele-Aid was a joke? Well I did until I realized a feature called "Search & Send". You can go on Google or Yahoo, get driving directions and send them to your car! Once in the car you choose to save them in your Navi (you can keep up to 50 in storage) or you can choose to get directions now and it will activate your Navi to give you direction to your destination. You can even send them from your phone. MB finally has a cool technology feature!!!

i have it and love it...i use it all the time!!

a little trick... you can send many simultaneous destinations and when you call information, it will download in the order you uploaded them from google or yahoo. you have to press the teleaid button each time for each download. hope that made sense

Tele-Aide is not a dealer option. Factory installed only. It incorporates into the entire car. I know because when I tried the VIM originally my car was giving problems due to the Teleaide interfering and the car then determining it was moving which resulted in the radio turning off.

I believe that means that dealers are not willing to retrofit Tele-Aid because it involves so much work. Those telephone/navigation retrofit experts would do it if one is willing to pay enough.

How could you reach your car vai BT from where every you are? Instead it is delivered using the Tele-Aid connectivity (web service first to some service centre that can forward it through Tele-Aid).
