Door pin option? I know, beat to death but...
I know everyone hates the door pins. I was searching the W211 listings (for my brother) and came across this:

Those are the ones I am using. Throw out the surrounds they won't fit flush no matter what you do to them. Fronts screw on rears drill out and cut down, I used the pressure fit method the rears don't sit flush with the doors though.
