Thanks to the people on this site that posted the TSB for these new pads I had mine done day before yesterday (Hoehn Mercedes Carlsbad California). I told my SA about the problem and emailed him the TSB info from this site. He took it to the service manager and they said bring it in and we will happilyy replace the bad pads per Mercedes TSB.
My car was a 3-08 build and had 11, 300 miles. I also had them fix the iPod adapter plastic piece that broke off and they also replaced the rubber matting on the base of the popup AV/System that looked as if it was coming up.
I was very happy with both the results of the service and Hoehns willingness to make good on the repairs. Couldn't be happier.

Note: My SA (Jeff Smith) is a former Lexus Service manager and he is just the very best at getting things done and done right the first time. Jeff is the reason I go to Hoehn. Dude is the best!
I came over to Mercedes after 3 different Lexus cars that I just LOVED and I was totally spoiled by the Lexus service. My significant other has had four different Mercedes and she talked me into looking at the C-Class this year as I was about to get a new car (I was seriously looking at the IS300)...I loved the look and feel of the C-300 but i was VERY concerned about the nightmare stories I had heard about Mercedes service. Thankfully I was assigned Jeff and his Lexus training is a lifesaver.

btw, instead of having to bring the car in early in the morning so I could be assured a Mercedes loaner rather than a Nissan or Mazda, Jeff said he would call me in the afternoon when he got a few Mercedes loaners in. It worked out perfectly as I avoided all the traffic and long lines in the service que and was given my exact same black C-300 as a loaner car. They even did the blue tooth connection for my iPhone...next day Jeff called, all the work done and the car beautifully washed (with wheel polish too!)...Jeff Smith rocks!!!

Oh, and the new brake pads are great. I would normally have brake dust just a few miles after getting my car washed...drove about 50 miles yesterday and another 50 today, rear wheels are brake dust free (but unfortunately it rained today so my wash is a wash)...

Got my 2008 c300 sport at the end of February from the dealer in Cincinnati. It was a dealer loaner with less than 10k miles and 11 months old. The next week I took in a copy of the TSB information I got on line here and they happily installed the new pads 2 days later. The difference was fantastic! I even got a 2009 c300 as a loaner.
I really love the car.

AGAIN DENIED!!!! THE GUY LITERALLY PRINTED OUT A SHEET WITH MY VIN SAYING ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT MY CAR, AND HE SAID THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RECALL OR TSB ON MY CAR!!! I asked if it was only at this service, he said that what his computer said is what every Mercedes dealership around the world would say. He just said that IF it does exist, I must call Mercedes if I don't believe him and ask them myself. But as far as this being legit, its not. I even tried finding the TSB online, and when I copy and paste those bull**** numbers that supposedly claim to be the TSB up top, all that pops up are the same numbers just in random forums.

I asked my service adviser about the TSB and she acknowledge it but told me my car exceeded the maximum mileage covered by the TSB. I argued with her that I had been complaining about this problem prior to exceeding 12000 miles and she is fighting for me to get this taken care of. I would even be willing to pay for labor. We'll see.

See post above - sounds like the guy in Carlsbad can handle it.

i can also confirm this...

my car had some problems with a squeaking noise that had to do with parking clips on the rear wheel... so MB had to switch out some of things... one of which was the break pads...

i've driven my car all weekend and there is just a little bit of brake dust... like someone else in here said about 90% less.

i am very happy that my car will actually look clean the day after i clean it.

If you guys are concerned with brake dust, don't track your car.

I called my service rep today and he said it's for cars with squeaky pads.. The no dust comes from new pads, which would eventually grind the same dust sooner or later. Other than getting aftermarket pads, he suggested polishing the wheels every so often so dust won't stick.

Possibly that could be true, but it still sounds like your rep is BS ing you to avoid changing the pads.

Your SA is full of ****...
The TSB specifically states excessive brake dust...

ok i only have a VERY short amount of time left to fix this! PLEASE PLEASE if any of you have fixed this in SoCal or any other area, please post specific dealerships so I could call them and tell them to confirm it. BTW I went to MB of Beverly Hills, it's a nice service place but they are full of BS.

ok guys I'm going to try to sum up this situation

Us <vs.> Our MB Dealer

I hate all this break dust. <> "Break dust is normal"

But it is excessive. <> "Just clean the wheels more often"

I shouldn't have such issues with a "luxury car" <> Your issues are not my problem.

I'm having back issues from cleaning my wheels every week <> Who give a rats a** about your back

Look at this TSB. <> "We see no such TSB on our computer"

Can you please change the pads for me? <> We will look into it, hopefully you'll pass 12,000 miles by the time we find the correct TSB.

I'm past my 1 year (but still at 6,000 miles), but I'm more than happy to pay for the break pad replacement if it noticably reduces the brake dust to the rear wheels.

You've already had this answered once - but again, one of the posters in this thread had it done at the dealer in Carlsbad - he even talks about the SA who authorized the work. What more do you need? Not willing to drive to Carlsbad? FYI, here's the post, repeated for you from earlier:

"Thanks to the people on this site that posted the TSB for these new pads I had mine done day before yesterday (Hoehn Mercedes Carlsbad California). WOWOWOW!! PROBLEM SOLVED!~~~!!!! for all of you who are still guessing how to make this work THIS IS ALL YOU NEED! P-B-42.10/100B <--- show that TSB number to any dealership and you are set... as long as you are still in the boundaries of it

6/2008 production date
less than 12,000 miles and by 12 months of purchasing the car

THEY DID NOT WANT ME TO KNOW THIS INFORMATION!!! I LITERALLY CALLED MERCEDES AND THEY KEPT DENYING IT AND THEY KEPT SAYING THAT IT DOESN'T EXIST, AND FINALLY FINALLY SHE SAID SOMETHING LIKE "ok there is a tsb on it, BUT you have to pay for it and your dealership will not cover it" and she LIED!!! dealerships cover it for sure! just use the number i gave u and i promise it will work! say thank-you whoever else needs it!!

OK... so what's the difference between the first set of numbers (WIS document AR42.10-P-0250CW) and this one you just posted (P-B-42.10/100B)? I guess to be sure we should refer to both when talking to the dealership?
