Don't paint that OEM sport grill black.

Already done for you. I've dealt with the seller before and he is good.

It must be brand new it showed up on E-bay for the first time yesterday (I didn't go onto E-bay till today) so no one has one yet. I know when I purchased the SL grill he asked for pics of it installed.

It's too glossy. I used a matte finish for mine. BTW, It's been over a year and I have no chips.

If the paint is the same as on the SL grill I wouldn't worry.

I do like that.
I noticed yesterday that my grill has a small crack in it (after 7,000 miles).

It would probably be cheaper to have it painted at a body shop . .

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but the grille looks identical to our stock grilles. It looks to me that the star is hollow with mesh in the back.

the difference is on the side bars. our stock one is silver instead of black. kinda like this one

Well I know that . .

My post was in regards to the difference in "mesh" between our stock grille and the one posted on ebay. I should have clarified that the mesh looks identical to our stock one, rather than the grille itself.

You're not going to see the mesh once it is installed, because behind the grill is dark.

I just bought the one Ron linked on Ebay last Sat and it showed up on my door Tuesday. The quality looks pretty damn good along with the paint.

Gonna install it today and I should have pics shortly.

Thanks Ron for the link!

So is that grill painted or does it use black plastic?

If it is like the SL one he sells it is painted. I put over 1000 miles with the SL on and no chips.
