I have found out that HID companys like Phillips, Hella, Osram, Bosch, and other high end companies does not sell HID kits. Many aftermarket company just put on their names as advertisement, correct me if i am wrong here.

Save yourself lots of money and get a DDM HID kit.
http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=101&parent=60 It's $65 for the kit and $40 for the error cancellors. |

I think you are right. There is a light consultant on the web that stated the same thing. He also stated that there is no real benefit using a aftermarket HID kit in an incandescent housing.

Yea there is a huge thing about converting HID into non HID lamps. The looks will be there but not the real performance of HID.

That makes sense to me. Its funny I never thought twice about hids until I got a mb, I'm comming from a s2000 and hids comes standerd, and the fact that its not on mb is very odd to me. O well, I still love my c class. Thanks for the feed

I also was coming from as s2000 amd my wife TSX, I would thought that the MB HID would be the same but I come to find out that every car dealers uses differnt types of system. Honda uses Philips, while MB uses Osram, I sitll like the color of philips better. Maybe I will swap out my bulbs for philips. Still would any still confirm with which screw is it to adjust the up/dow of the light, is it the one on top of the headlight with the screwdriver knob?

Have any replace theor OEM xenon with the Philips 4300k D1S bulbs,I personally feel they have a better color than the OSRAM that is in our car orginally.

Yeah the standard DDM H7 kit fits perfectly....the only thing you have to modify are the dust covers so the wiring for the HID's can come through the back.

The lowbeams are H7 right?, what are the fogs?
Anyone do the DDM kit in the fogs? Also, 35w or 55w? ANd where do you get the error cancelling part on the site? |

35w is the norm... however, when you are looking at hid, 55w is also ok...i don't think it'll be too hot as long as you don't get anything with higher wattage which will cause overheating in the housing unit...
