You can get the sheet metal from Home Depot
Tools needed a nibblers and regular 120v welder
It will be a lot cheaper to take the template to Speedway I'm sure they will make it for you.

since i already have nibblers, I am thinking i will just go to the shop to get the templates welded on once i prepare them at home...

so i am guessing this is how you did it:

1. cut out two ovals matching template shape from stainless steel
2. cut whole in center of each cut-out template for inner y pipe piece to lign up with/pass through...
3. insert template through fron of already installed exaust tip and push back until flush with inner pipe and aligned through hole.
4. weld from the inside to secure the template in place

is that how u did it? or am i completely off?

Cool... One more thing, was it easier to weld the template through the front of the tip or the back of the tip?

cool, thanks again for these helpful tips....

also if i may ask, you eventually got rid of this setup and got an actual new exaust system? were you looking to gain actual performance from an exhaust and that is why you changed or did you get tired of the look of the faux quad tips after a while?
