C350 Speed upgrades?

Hey guys, I'm kinda new to MB, I bought an 08' C350 last year (sport model) and I want to get more speed out of this car. I've looked for chips, but I haven't really found anything. I would REALLY like to slap a supercharger under the hood, does anybody make one for the C350? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

For all the trouble you probably better off trading it in and getting a C63. Many other components would have to be upgraded if you slapped a supercharger on. You would also have to look at the brakes, fueling system, transmission, etc. Also this would void your warranty and you would still probably not get the hp of the C63. If you really like tinkering with cars MB would not be the brand to do this. You would be much better off with the C63 of BMW or Audi. Much more aftermarket parts.

I think there are some simple mods that will bring your car to around 300 hps with an ECU software and headers. Do a search in the forum.
For serious mods to the engine, I have not seen anything yet, but maybe someone will help you.

You can go with (Approximations on US pricing):

CK35 Mods from Carlsson will upgrade your intake, exhaust, and chip programming to get you 295 bhp and your 0-60 down to 6 seconds flat for around $5,000
Brabus 4.0 from Brabus will upgrade your displacement from 3498 to 3908 and get 332 bhp and your 0-60 down to 5.9 seconds for around $25,000
Kleeman K-1 + K-2 upgrades will add a supercharger and ecu upgrade (~$10,000) to get 325 bhp + add exhaust headers & downpipes (~$3,000) to give you 350 bhp.

Kleeman has recently been making adjustments to their packages, and it was designed to fit the SLK M272 not the C350 M272 engine, so you'll have to talk to them about what is available and their pricing. When I was looking at their packages it was for headers + ecu upgrade to get ~315 bhp but the headers were stuck in the development stage.

Why don't you have the electronic limit lifted. That will give you full rpm power and 175 mph max speed. If not enough, you would need major professional adaptation or, more practical, going to a more powerful car.

or if u need a little power with upgrading anything

just go to MB and tell them to change to ECU to stage 2 (more fuel burning = more power) or stage 3 ( much fuel burning = more power + some fuel smell)

by default the ECU on stage one.

Chips?

OK - just to clarify, aftermarket ECU's replace the MB ECU, or do you just re-program them? Maybe I just want everything, but I would like the fuel economy of the C350 (vs the C63) but I would like more power/speed out of the C350 from time to time.

I'm still stuck on the idea of a supercharger, it's not like I would be racing or anything, so I just can't see the need for beefed up transmission, etc... Am I just dreaming here?

There's no way just putting a VMAX delimiter on your car will get it up to 175 MPH. I've got it up to 160.3 MPH, on my second try, and the top speed on paper from Carlsson with all their tuning is 168 MPH. Also I got flashed going 116 KPH in a 100 zone on my first try, because there's a stretch that's free for about 23 miles then 2.5 miles of 100 kph speed limit than another 16 or so miles free, and after hitting 255 kph, then rapidly decelerating towards 100, I went through a speeding camera. The jerks. What a stupid place for it. Hopefully they won't send me the ticket, but if they do I think it's only like 30 euro.
