Kerbed Rear Wheel

Hey up!

Anyone ever had the standard AMG 17" double 6 spokes (styleIV) refurbished? Did they come-out ok, and can anyone recommend a refurbisher in Manchester?

Grazed a kerb last night, lost the back end on a load of wet leaves!

Cheers;

Dave

I was confused when I read your title. Did you mean curbed?

He meant to say "Curbed" but I'm assuming he enunciated the phonetics of the word. I might be wrong though. :-P

2 clues:
- spelling, and
- name of his town

Noun 1. kerb - an edge between a sidewalk and a roadway consisting of a line of curbstones (usually forming part of a gutter)

He's English.

Might be a Brit version of "whutup", often used by those with a limited vocabulary. Sometimes paired with "dude".

Or maybe he meant "thread up to the top" so people would all see it as in a bump or TTT

lol... you guys have made me laugh - forgot the whole world doesn't speak my colloquial regional dialect!

Yes apologies for my terminology! Yes Kerb is the 'english' english for curb! And "Hey up" would by a "Yorkshire" informal greeting as I originally come from Bradford in West Yorkshire. And Manchester would be Manchester, England!

G' day Dave,

There seems to be no Manchester lads on this forum. You may have to do a little work yourself with a piece of fine grit paper , body filler , matching paint colour & clear coat. OR visit a panel shop.Keep off the leaves

Now then mucker! (there's another one to go with Hey up!)

I'm in Lymm in cheshire about 15 -20 miles from "Macclesfield" or Mac as we call it!

The rim of the alloy is diamond cut and lacquered, so I think I'll give it a go with the grit paper and lacquer - reckon if i keep apply laquer then sanding it down might not look to bad. Would like to change the wheels but cant decide on what to get!

First rear drive car i've ever had, not used to a twitchy tail. Had a 08 civic type-r gt before this, stuck to the road like the proverbial to a shovel!
