Just trying to find out a place or website that sells the SS sleeves and I have a small body shop that can do the work cheap or maybe a local mechanic who does muffler work...

Reviving an old thread here, and stupid question, but exactly how do you remove the resonators? Gut the internals, bypass pipe?

remove it (cut it out or something). replace it with a pipe, preferably stainless steel

You let your local muffler shop cut it off and replace it with pipe, for about $50-$100. Takes about 15-30 minutes.

does anyone have any experience with the Supersprint resonator and y-connecting pipe ?

here in belgium its illegal to delete the resonator and this seems like a fair sollution, but i'm not sure ...

price should be around 580 € , tax included... its far more expensive than just deleting it ( 75 € ... ) but this come's with certificate ...

ps: sorry for the big image's ...

grtz

Are you sure it's illegal? The resonator has no impact on emissions.
This sounds like a lot of money for a somewhat better sound and not more than 2 hp gain. Otherwise I have a Supersprint exhaust and it is not quality.

our cars have to go to a techical control every year, and deleting a muffler, catalysator or resonator is not allowed... the vehicle can be refused for traffic as a result...

i'm quite pleased with the quality from supersprint , i have a cat-systet (4-2-1) on my golf I conv. and it performs well...

wel I can get a 25 % reduction on the price ... that's the good part

grtz

i just contacted a belgian importer to make me a price.

i got 25 'cause i work at a mercedes garage and would buy it with the garage.

currently there is a custom quad exhaust setup , that's al.

i deleted the original c32 exhaust, bought the clk55 amg spare wheel well and put that in place. and then i had a quad exhaust, with 2 mufflers, fitted.

only experience i have with Supersprint is on my vw golf 1. on a 1800 cc, double weber carb engine...

is that y-pipe specifically made for the C32 or is that a generic one?

supersprint made headers i believe, but they were too expensive. i dont think anyone has a supersprint muffler either.

by chance, do you have a link to that supersprint y-pipe specifically made for the C32?

lol...not a doc yet.....soon though i hope

i'm just curious to see if the supersprint y-pipe, or just a larger y-pipe for that matter and exhaust back will do ANYTHING, especially since i have taken care of the main exhaust bottleneck (headers)

EDIT: i sent supersprint an email inquiring about those exhaust parts
