My car is falling apart :(

So last night I get my roommate calling me at 12am telling me to go outside and turn my ****ing alarm off it's been going off for an hour... I am half a asleep and a little pissed she let my alarm go off for an hour before she told me, but that's to be expected from her. So at this point I am having alumar flash backs thinking someone is in my car for whatever reason and I go outside and my alarm is going off no one is around so I deactivate it, but my driver door wont lock even when I press the button manually. So I go to sleep just hoping no one was really trying to carjack me. Next morning I am driving and I get the door open warning when my door wasn't open and when I parked my steering wheel gets stuck moving up 3 times before moving all the way up. So me working in parts I am counting my new found expenses I am thinking sam control module door lock actuator 500+200 and I am a little worried. Then later on driving this night I see my lights start flickering and I get a bulb out warning! great! $200 Xenon bulb went out. I am hoping to get out of this minus $1,000 wish me luck. i would just check the battery...i remember when my battery was low, the alarm would go off then buzz.

A xenon bulb is not $200. You can buy brand new oem 4300k philips bulbs on ebay for $100 for a set.

probably time to replace your battery OR you are having seat control module leak which cause the battery to drain and caused what Temjin said above.

I am going to have them run a short test on it to check for sure. I haven't' got any battery lights though I hope it's just a battery. Also isn't the seat control module issue just with the C32's ? Thanks trem for the bulb idea I will check it out I do know they are made by phillips I just need to see which one I have.

edit just checked the bulb yikes. Guess I will be checking ebay

the seat control module is a issue with all pre face lift w203's. Take the battery out and take it to a autozone. They will test the battery and tell you if its bad or not and recharge it for you for free.

here's a new pair of philips....

if you buy them used make sure you clean the bulb with alcohol and don't touch the bulb. Oils from your hands will make the bulb go out.

thanks got your PM unfortunately this was the first thing I thought as well and that was not the issue. I am starting to think my xenon light might be the control unit since they light turned back on it's doing the same thing my BMW was doing when the unit went out. I had them scan the car and it didn't show any faults minus the headlight error. The tech seems to think that the rain caused the issue. I haven't had any more problems with the alarm going off or the door light warning coming on since so I am glad, but now I am worrying about the control unit hopefully it's just the light
