C55 Top Speed

After reading the thread on Top Speed on an E55 I was interested to know if anyone knows what the top speed is on a C55 (stock) with the limiter removed?

I have hit 183mph (believe kleemann limits me @ 186mph), but i was near 6k rpm...and a few times to 172mph on a mile stretch from a stop.

have a video from 58 to 165 out there too

As for stock i would imagine 164-165?

Stock we're limited to 155mph...a reflash will remove the limiter/governer.

The ole C32 with mods (LET Tune removes speed limiter) has seen 165 on Garmin GPS!!!

WOW, i've gotten mine to fuel cut off at 155, I just cant justify a reflash to the wife as "there is no need to go that fast"

The most I manage to squeeze out of my C55(on a flat autobahn) here in Germany is 292 km/h! That is 181.44 (mph)as I just found out.

Mine managed this when it was stock, just having the ecu remapped and limiter removed.

After removing the resonator and secondary cats i didn´t see any difference in top speed...

At this speed, the speedometer shows about 300 km/h...

Delimited, I would imagine the Vmax is pretty close to 186 mph / 300 kph.
With your Kleemannized beast, it's a case of you reaching that Vmax a hell of a lot quicker!
I also seem to remember that the elusive custom / one-off C55 made by Kleemann for MBMexico was capable of speeds around 200 mph. The again, it's rear-end was modified.

With the caveat being that it's not clear if the car is just delimited, this C32 reached a Vmax of 300 kph (~186 mph).

No doubt the delimited C55 is capable of at least this Vmax.

A bit over 170mph when I had it. I am sure it had more left but it started to get scary!

I dont doubt there is enough power in my car to prob hit 192-195mph, but the gearing limited to about mid 180's (oh and ma ball's factor too)

I thin 186-87mph is just about that these can do. I want to say maybe a stock C55 with an ECU tune only could do that. And SC C55's will do that just gettign there abit faster. looks like that where the C55's gears run out of legs.

+1 , I was chasing down (good luck with that??) JR Cart in his Black series for vids and I saw 165. Its still the highest speed on my Garmin and the C32 had some more to go but the car starts to feel "Light" at that speed and likes to wander (almost tramline like). Again, Jerry removed the speed limiter on my car thru his tune.
