Very cool key! I have a question, Does the remote have a key blade inside of it? Or is it separate? If there is could anyone post up how it looks? Does the key flip out? And does the window feature that rolls down/up the windows still work?

I have a 1997 C280, and I know this is in a W202 section but will it work with my car due to the year differences of the update W202s? (94-97)(98-00)

Will this blade P/N A2037665006 work for W202?

cz the local MB dealer in my country wants $320 for the regular 2000 key, and someone who could get it from germany wants $250...tnx a lot

I wish I saw this thread earlier as I need a replacement key for my C32. Looks like the price is now $114 at OEM Parts (2117663606)? Is everyone else seeing he same?

That sounds right - I ordered mine around 2-20-07 and paid $128 for the fob, blade and shipping. Awesome looking key and OEM shipped really quickly.

i recently placed an ordered thru oempartsdirect anyone knwo how long it takes before you get the key. I ordered sunday night at around 8pm got the email next day and scanned and emailed him back.. now im waiting, ive called but no response to either my email or vm. And once you get the new keys does the old one still work?

YES OLD KEY WORKS LIKE NORMAL AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET KEY.

is it really hard to contact this jamie guy ive called and emailed but no reply on the site it says its processing and when i goto my order it says " ON ORDER" i placed the order on the march. 18th sent everything the nextday as i got his email but yet till this date i got no reply or email or anything that the keys are being sent. im not trying to be pushy but im relying on these keys to drive my car as i lost both sets recently.

if you read the thread you will gather that OEMPartsDirect is an internet presence for Hammersley Mercedes in Virginia (they are a multibrand dealer).

Pick up the phone, talk to their parts department, and try to work through the issue.

JUST RELAX YOU WILL GET THEM.............HE IS VERY SLOW WHEN IT COMES TO EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS. HE TOOK LIKE A MONTH TO GET KEYS TO ME.

keys take two business days to get. never had any issues. not sure why u guys wait so long. if you didn't prepay. tell them to F#$@ off and get it elsewhere

hey guys i can't believe these threads for the key are still going strong
i ordered one key from oem parts direct paid 61.41 including shipping back in january 5th and got it in exactly 10 days
orderd another one for another car on february 8 paid the same amount but i got itafter 1 month and did not work directly as the previous one
they have sent me a replacement key instead of additional

make sure you ask for additional key

they sent me another one to replace the one that came replacement, but they still ordered replacement so right now i am still waiting for the key to come in

i can't believe how the price went up
the list price is now 140 used to be 58
and oem wants 114.80 for it

so right now i have two keys that i can keep as spare if one of my keys brakes down as it is working for the car but has to be programed to replace one of the other keys

I believe OEM PARTS DIRECT is no longer available and it was a Dealer run site..regardless the price has gone up considerably...keep an eye out a new parts direct type of site may open up real soon.

Used keys can not be re-programmed, so don't waste your money. Only way is to order one directly from MB and have them program it to your VIN.

You guys might want to hold on MB changed the key design again. For the 212/207
model that was just released they have a new style chrome key has a diffrent shape. They say in the near future they will be avaliable for other cars!!!!
