Talking FS: 1995 C36 AMG $8000 SF Bay Area

I am selling my 1995 C36 AMG. I decided to go back into racing and I am raising funds for the coming 09 track season. If you have an E36 M3 5 speed (1995-99), I will be willing to trade especially if the car has track goodies pre-installed.

The complete maintenance records are at:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...ze7AnmyHjXfOLA

All maintenance is up to date. The car sports new brake pads, new Koni externally adjustable shocks, new alignment, near new tires, new front wheel bearings, new front tie rod assembly. The wiring harness, head gasket, anything you can think off it has been taken care of.

The bad:

1) High beam flash does not work, but the high beams work OK.
2) The car will not lock or unlock from the passenger door with the key. It locks and unlocks fine (all four doors, trunk, gas filler door) from trunk and drivers door.
3) There are some minor rattles on the inside. The radio works fine, CD Changer works fine, but the radio display is half dark.
4) The paint is OK, but not concours ready.
5) Clean carfax, All body panels have their original VIN stickers intact. The front bumper cover was resprayed and the right rear quarter panel may have been resprayed (probably due to keying as the panels are original).

All electricals work.

The car is RED with Black interior. One of the rarest combinations out there.

Price is $8000. Clean CA title. This is a very clean C36 AMG with 100K miles, excellent service records and history.

The car has an agressive stance but sits higher than what is shown in the pictures now that I raised it by installing stock springs. The handling with the stock springs and Koni shocks is amazing. The car was completely detailed in late August by Campbell Auto Tint and Polish.

The car will come with 2 keys, original factory books etc.

These are pictures from when I bought it.

I have some more recent pictures taken right after the detail which I will post as soon as I can find them.

No tire kickers please. The price is negotiable but I believe it to be a good price already. The car drives, brakes, handles beautifully.

Here are more recent pictures. I will post interior pics as soon as I can get the carpets vacuumed.

I found an E36 M3 that I like (perfect candidate for a track/race car), so make an offer if interested. At this price, buy mine and keep it as a spare. Much cheaper than buying parts from MB

The car is still available but in Eastern WA state now.

I am considering trading it in using the "Cash for Clunkers" program which would be a real shame since the cars get destroyed when traded in under CARS.

Make an offer over $4500.00.

Take it for what it's worth, but according to wikipedia (and the list the EPA recently released) the C36 is ineligible for the CARS program. Regardless I hope you aren't seriously considering this; there will be a buyer sooner or later and the car won't need to be scrapped. Bump for a good deal!

According to the federal govt website, it is eligible for CARS. But yes, I am leaning towards listing it for sale and seeing what happens.

don't you dare C4Clunker an AMG!

Unless you'd like to part out, THEN clunk it... LOL uhh but seriously, just keep it in the garage and wait for a buyer. You'll find one. promise.

Yes, I have another car that I drive on a daily basis. This is a well-maintained car. My greatest pick with it is probably the paint. The clear coat is peeling in a few (less than 5) spots on the trunk lid. All body panels have their own VIN stickers, but the right rear and the front bumper cover/spoiler have been resprayed in the past. It looks good, but not concourse quality.

Here are some pictures that I took mid-July:

What's going on with this car? Do you still have it? You better not have traded it in to get sent away to be crushed....If I have to I will sell my first born for it.

Please PM me if you still have it and no one is interested.
