C36 Production Numbers By Color? Anyone?

I've done quite a bit of research and have come up with little regarding the production/import numbers of the C36's in North America. Would anyone have access to credible information regarding the production numbers of AMG C36's possibly even by color? I think it would be beneficial to the enthusiasts to know what years and colors pose greater rarity ect.

I have found this regarding some general production number information, however, they are not credible.

Code:
There were 1018 C36s shipped to USA between 1995 - 1997. Over at C36-AMG.com we have tallied it up and adjusted the production numbers for accidents and etc, So far we are already down to 1012 C36s (we have confirmed 6 crashes w/ VIN# and color specs as well as year model).

95s were roughly 440's, 96 = 320s, 97 = 230s. The exact number changes as we find out more and more accidents have happened.

Realisticaly, there are probably already 18 wrecked over the past 12 years, so I think the number is probably closer to 950-990 C36s left in the USA. Its hard to tell for sure but thats probably where it is right now.
Code:
1997 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG - 236 units
1996 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG - 338 units
1995 Mercedes Benz C36 AMG - 444 units

Thanks!

Where did you source these numbers from, and how valid are they?

Any hopes on further catagorizing them into color per each year?

I know that the 1995 era C36 was offered in the following colors:

Azure Blue Pearl Metallic
Black
Black Pearl Metallic Brilliant
Emerald Green Metallic
Brilliant Silver Metallic
Garnet Red Metallic
Imperial Red
Midnight Blue
Moonstone Gray
Pearl Metallic
Polar White
Smoke Silver Metallic
Spruce Green Metallic
Teal Blue Metallic

You need a valid AMG VIN from your car to sign up. Couple of other C36's registered there.

most C36s were black & silver, there are a few reds... and even fewer whites but I'd say probably 80% of the C36s were black or silver.

The first C36 I saw in Vancouver was in yellow. I have not seen any other ones in this colour though.

My C36 is red. Got clearcoat peel. Is it worth painting the whole car? The car has 108k and runs perfect.

Wow, Yellow is EXTREMELY rare, probably only a few in existence (that may be the only one). I've heard of 2 or 3 green ones, but most are red/black/silver (with an occasional white one).

Hey John, to paint the whole car it will cost you $1500-2000. It may be hard to justify considering most C36s are worth about $6k-7k. If you can just repaint the panels (couple hundred dollars a panel) as necessary and polish & buff the rest that may be a decent alternative.

My C36 is imperial red. Yeah I dont think its worth painting the whole car. Some of the panels could be painted but it wouldnt blend with the rest of the body.

Digging some information about this Yellowstone C36, after I saw these pictures online. Can anyone vouche that? I've never heard about yellow C36. I know in the USA it might be ever rarer, so I'm assuming this might be an Euro car - I can't identify the license plates either.

Yellow C36

That Yellow C36 is mine in Australia, with the sport check trim instead of black leather. It was a special order in early 1996, but l have occassionly seen a few yellow ones online in Europe. Still use the car regularly. Kbdon
