Really the only difference is in the steering. We are planning on working with our British importer to try to get this worked out. I don't think it will be in the next few days, but I hope that it will be fairly soon.

Brad,

I have a question regarding warranty. if I were to have the headers exhaust, and ECU reprogramming... and something goes wrong with the car...say motor wise.. am I screwed? who is going to cover it? I have heard some horror stories on this and want to be up front

Thanks

Sorry for the delay, been a crazy day and to add to that, my 3 year old is sick.

Ok, so we offer a two year warranty on evosport parts that are purchased and installed via the evosport authorized dealer network. This is applicable to the original vehicle (even if the vehicle is transferred to another owner in that time frame). The warranty stays with the parts.

If you are asking about liability and consequential damages, that is a different story. Like any other tuner we do not cover consequential damages. You can read the warranty fine print of ours or any other high-end tuner and they all exclude this. I am making this point in full disclosure.

Now, that being said, you do have protection from the federal government via the Moss-Magnusson warranty act. This act specifically prohibts the dealer from voiding the factory warranty unless the added part can reasonably be connected to the failure in question.

Now in practice, this is more difficult then it seems sometimes. Each dealer is privately owned, so they can make their own policies. Some are very easy and some make it hard. Typically you may have to go up a few levels of management, but continuing to say "moss-magnusson" will 99% of the time get you what you need.

We work direct with a number of Mercedes dealers across the country, as do Renntech and some others. This really means nothing though. The factory warranty is a complete separate entity from any aftermarket tuner's warranty, and they DO work together. We have some dealerships that will service our warranty just as if it was factory, so it is seamless to the customer.

Net/net - pick a tuner that you are comfortable with and make sure it is installed right.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

thanks
Brad

When you talk about "drop-in" filters, are you referring to the red or green colored ones? Or both? Of course we are not mentioning brand names here.

First and only post is an uneducated flame? Did this guy really join just to post this?

The headers look similar to what a quality aftermarket fabricator would produce. Similar to say Burns Stainless. For those unfamiliar, Burns Stainless is possibly the highest regarded header and exhaust system builder for V8 race cars around.

Thanks Jim. No reason to rebut that post. He listed himself from Texas, yet the IP is from Northern Europe. I have a good idea who it is.

You are correct about Burns of course. Much like Burns, we build all of our own collectors and transitions in our in-house machine shop. This way we can build to suit the exact application (as we have done here).

Thanks again!
Brad

Working on it now. I need a C63 in here to do final fit, fitment and Dev. We have done as much as we can without the car here.

So..... any C63 guys want the same power as the CLK63 Black.

And YES, we know that there is a software limitation on the C63 and we just need the car to overcome it.

We have once incoming, but it is not for a few months still.

thanks
brad

Too bad so many companies are in NorCal/SoCal - there are a lot of east coast buyers who would be willing to be guinea pigs (I'm not talking just MB tuning).

Differential

Simon, question about differentials since you deal with Quaife. Do you have any predictability on differentials from Quaife for the C63, or any other brand other than what is offered in the C63 performance package?

We will be offering a new option for MBZ vehicles that we expect to be available in 4-6 weeks. I can't really comment on specifics at this time, but much like the Quaife, it will work better than the factory "limited slip" included in 030 or PP. I will put out info as it becomes available.

Nice! Can't wait to hear about it. I didn't get the PP and I really want "better" differential than the one in non PP. You just made my day!
