I'm in Adelaide and have an Obsidian Black with Keyless Go and Electric Rear blind. Love the car - much faster than my Porsche and family friendly too.

Roads in Adelaide are reasonable although being a small capital city (some would say we are more a large country town) we do not have freeways here. We do however have some of the best Hills driving roads - once a year, some of these roads are closed for classic car enthusiasts to take part in the Classic Adelaide Car Rally - www.classicadelaide.com.au

Palladium silver with black interior. Limited slip diff and Keyless go. Unbelievable car far exceeds my expectations. Had it round Sandown two weeks ago - won the prize for the best sounding car along the straights. Handled great and was very competitive against the other cars. (Aston Martin DBS, Audi R8, HSV's, Maserati, Porsches, Elfin, WRX's, Evos and Lotus')

In one territory of Australia there were at one time no speed limits. Basically, it was a death wish.

Australian roads have no more than a few seconds at VMax unlike Germany where I drove at VMax for hours.

I have heard of people doing VMax in Sydney but it is really dangerous for the driver.

I was hoping you might have entered your C63 in the event. Or are you running the Porsche in it? I've got my 997 Carrera S entered.

Edit: I found a pic of your orange tii in last year's event - and answered my own question!

Too chicken to run the C63 in the Classic Adelaide - way too much power for me to handle hence felt it would be safer and more fun in the 2002tii

It was great to see the MBAust C63 sedan and wagon in the event. I guess the rear tyres have nothing left.

Driving at very high speed in the Northern Territory was not a death wish at all. It was one of life's great experiences. In a decent car with good tyres and a co driver covering 1500km in a day between an early breakfast and a beer at 5 o'clock was no problem. I did a trip to Darwin and back with my Dad when I was 19 and the roads there were amazing! Getting through Queensland was another story.

Anyway back to the point - C63 picked up in July 08, new rear tyres at 10500km. Car is brilliant. Oil consumption has settled down. Cold starts make the dogs eight doors down bark on Saturday mornings. I can't belive its legal.

10500 kms on your original rear tyres is very impressive!! I only managed 6200kms in spite of driving it with the transmission in "C" 95% of the time! What did you replace the rear tyres with? Same Pirellis?

Hi All,

Another Aussie here !

I will be buying however thinking of waiting another year (ouch) for the MY11 which sounds like will deliver substantial change.

I keep on the boards though to track C63 Goss !

G`Day there , I have 2009 Black on Black C63 and I am from Melbourne.

I am actually loving this car more and more as time goes on .It`s a weekender. It does everything well and is an absolute pleasure to drive.

Any excuse I get , I take it for ........cheers John

I lived in Oz (Sydney) for a year last year and (no offence) but I have to ask - what is the point in owning a fast car in a country which has such a devotion to speed enforcement? Driving around Sydney was frustrating beyond belief with the majority of road restricted to 60 kmh with a max of 110 kmh.

While I was there I drove a VW Golf GT (diesel) which was more than enought for the traffic light grand prix.

Soooooo glad to be back in Germany!

Yep, Adelaide, Iridium Silver, Black Interior... new rears (265's) at 8.5k, and decided to do first A service at 11.5k... and it definately seems to have free'd up a little even after that...?

What's the deal with 12 months before a B service? Seems a little long to me...

I got about 11500km out of the rears and I replaced them with same type & size.
I've done about 14000km now and the engine definitely/noticeably freed up in last 1500km or so.

Overall, it just gets better and better!
