Part of that is marketing. I believe it when I actually get to see a E63 and C63 before and after the dyno and before and after the mods.
I am kind of new to mercedes but veteran on gazillion other cars, I haven't seen stuff like compression ratio,fuel trims,injectors duty cycle,throtle body dimensions nor I have an accurate drivetrain percentage loss but there are many variables into this so I don't want to speculate. Whatever it is just keep this is mind, a E63 has this against: more weight more tire friction on the road perhaps more extra rotational weight due to larger tires and rims a C63 takes the lead on the stuff mentioned above but takes a hit on lesser power output.

^^ I also had a 335i Coupe modded, in fact, one of the first one modded in the country/world. I was on the list for the first piggy back made by Vishnu, there weren't many tuners around at the time.. The demand on the Vishnu Procede was such that you had to prepay before they were built, I even had the piggy back before my car was even built from the German factory...

Carllson is one fo the top tuners for MB in Europe along with AMG and Brabus. I have been to their factory twice which is really something to see if your ever in Germany.The person who ownes the company has a brother that is a big time tuner for BMW (Hartge BMW)

585 Hp = ~475 rwhp with 19% factor for drive train loss. There are several C63's at this number with tunes, LONG TUBE HEADERS and other minors.

When they say a new exhaust sytem, they may actually mean a full exhaust sytem, which would start with headers and go all the way through to the mufflers.... in which case, they have not achieved much (if any) gains over a C63 with a tune and long tube headers
