Twin Turbo for the C63?

Guys do u think any1 would come up with a twin tubo kit for the C63? even if they make em run on as low as 9psi im sure we have very good strong internals!!! To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

I don't think there is room to even fit a small K03.

If anything it would have to be something like Kleemann's all in one charger, that includes the SC, intercooler and intake mani that goes right over the block. Either that or perhaps a custom rear mount setup before the mufflers.

It has been attempted before at least twice.....

1) Kleemann built a twin turbo ML63 for someone in Dubai that made over 800 hp but decided not to make the package available to the public probably because of cost and maybe reliability/liability issues in the U.S. Also, as mentioned earlier, the ML has enough room to fit the turbos while the C63 does not.

2) Brabus currently offers a "mild" bi-turbo kit that increases power to 650 hp (at the crank) but they require the car at their head quarters to be there for the upgrade.

Im sure you could do a rear turbo upgrade. I have seen it done on some vettes... Wouldn't be cheap. Not sure if the tranny would handle all the power.

I heard the C63 TT was cancelled. It'll only be available for E-Class and above.

The physical set up would not be difficult for a low boost twin turbo set up. The tuning would be the impossible feat. If not impossible, not practical from an expense stand point.

Rear mount setup won't do. Leave that to the domestic cars. I would like to see someone offer a good FI kit for this car though.

FI kit and a powerdome hood would be pretty sick

An STS style rear mount setup would work if you can get a shop to tune it. Over on myMBonline there is a member that goes by the name "Max Hughes" who is very knowledgeable in the rear mount setups. He will answer any questions you have as well as tell you where to buy the parts needed for your application.

Is it a local shop you speak of? If so, I heard they are thinking about doing a supercharger setup and not a TT? TT or S/C, I really hope someone can come up with something that looks well thought out, clean, and oem looking. Between the M3, IS-F, and C63, I really thought the C63 would be the first to have F/I. But now the M3 has 6+ S/C kits, at least one known TT for the IS-F, and zilch for the C63

A Brabus rep at the Frankfurt Motors Show told me their TT setup won't fit in the C63.

The latest rumor as read on Worldcarfans, Autoweek, AutoBild etc..is that MB (AMG) is planning a TT for the C/E series using a 4.3L engine in various stages of tune-much like HP/PS numbers today but with better fuel economy. Would be easier to "tune".

If you could make the space work (rear mount, or other...) I think the biggest hassle you would run into is getting a car not designed for boost to hand the boost...from an ECU standpoint...

That, to me, seems like the next biggest issue other than space.

seriously though if anyone wants a supercharged fast four seater you might as well buy the GTR.

Its gonna be faster than a supercharged m3 and much much more realiable as well.

i've actually been to the kleemann workshop in Dubai and talked to the mechanic there.. that ML biturbo was a one off and wasn't really that reliable.. even for the ML space was pretty tight and the turbos are actually rubbing against body work.. you can only guess what happens when you get road vibrations and a rough road...

would still love to see it on a C63 though...

So anyone in the Midwest/Chicago area want a supercharged C63? Sounds like Eurocharged is interested in taking on the project if they can find a local willing participant
