Taken at Roebling Road from the infield, Dad'sC63 is re-entering the track after being black flagged for excessive decibels....I go by a few seconds later.

Low 140's with a clear track but I really had not figured out turn 9 that enters the straight. In 3 weeks I will be back again and this group has 3 passing zones which should provide more clear attempts at the final turn.

No. You can tell from all the tire screeching and steering and throttle adjustment. That was my slowest track day.

In car video taken last week at Roebling with a great spin in front of me on the first lap(cold tires). These DE events are a great road course intro and I would encourage everyone to try it once. More vids are coming once I slim them down to YOU Tube parameters. Next event there for us is Jan 23,24 with Florida Crown PCA.

Nice vids, I've raced there in fall 2 years ago on a cold and rainy day (thank god i brought spare rain tires, not just slicks).

This track means serious business. Its all fun and games until someone totals their car in a wall (yes it happened that day).

What camera mount/setup are you guys using?

Damn that is a scary pencil or banana or whatever it is.

The mount is made by PanaVise and is a bracket with 2 (3 inch) suction cups with multiple articulating joints. You can bend it all sorts of ways. I use a Canon Power Shot SD780 IS digital camera with 12.1 mp. It is very small but takes great video in Qtime format. A 16g sd card holds an entire weekend of clips and Roxio Creator 2010 will do anything you would like with the video including copying Qtime format direct to DVD. These clips on a 65" TV are a blast and near HD quality. I place the camera at the base of the windshield and it is relatively sheltered from wind noise.

Had a piece of Lexon cur to fit in the rear seat armrest indentation. Stick it in there with 3M Dual Lock and use it for the platform for the Fat Gecko.

I have the Gripper 115 from FilmTools. Works great, can be configured in almost any position you need, and the 4.5" suction cup is plenty strong for your typical consumer camera.

Here is a slightly older video from earlier this year where I was following North44's C63 AMG at Mosport. I was in my 135i. I think this was Barry's first or second time at this track. Even though he was farily new to tracking, he was pretty fast. Of course, now Barry has become a monster at the track!!!

I've built a mount that screws into the towing eye socket. pretty straight forward to fabricate (a little welding & about an hour machine shop time). It's a much safer, cleaner, and more elegant solution than anything involving suction cups.

Very nice! Good lines throughout. I like your line at turn 5; way better than mine. Sounds so good when you're hitting the straight and exhaust note bouncing off the wall.
