I was able to make one 60-130 run this morning with the Vbox. 60 is not a good place to start in the C63 because of the 2-3 gear change. That being said I started at 45mph in 3rd gear which has NO pull but by 60 to 70 its moving. Not sure what the best way to start will be. I am in central Florida so it was mid 70's this morning and the humidity was probably 50% or above as usual.
It registered 9.4 so its respectable. Not race fast but okay. Hopefully with some better weather it will run in the high 8's. Here's part of the problem with that speed range. The car changes out of second gear just at 60mph so its at the bottom of 3rd gear at 60. It also changes out of 4th gear at 125 so we are getting an additional change. I believe with some taller tires we can hold it in 4th past 130 and get a better number. Keep racing and be safe!!

if you use (M) it will go to 134MHP in 4th gear. 2nd gear finishes at 64MHP so use 3rd and only make one switch. 3-4 and hold 4th dont switch. (i did the gear speed test when i had the nittos 555R drag radial.) with m/t i dont know.

mthis, I did try holding 4th and it wont make it. It hits the rev limiter before 130. You must have taller tires. I have the stock 255-35-18's on it. I have the M/T drag radials also but they aren't on the car right now. I will switch and try it again next week with the taller tires.

Mthis,
I did get one run where it stayed in 4th and made it to 130.8 before it bounced off the rev limiter according to the Vbox. Thats the run I made 9.4. Every other run it apparently didn't make 130. I held it in 4th and let it go until it banged the limiter but it never gave me another time so I'm guessing it was coming up short of the 130 mark. I think with the M/T's and better weather it will make the low 9's or high 8's.

As soon as I figure out how to get the data off the memory card and onto this computer I will post the data. I know it was recording it but the card reader I have doesn't work. I will have to get another one tomorrow. Do any of you have experience with the VBox and the memory card? I have downloaded the software but I can't seem to get it over to the computer. Will work on that tomorrow. This is all new to me.
I'm not sure 9.4 is fast looking at the 6speedonline listing. Hopefully with some cold weather it will get quicker. I made four runs but apparently only one made it to 130. Will put the Nitto's back on next week and try again. What should these cars run?

That 6speed list shows a stock Z06 with 2 shifts doing 60-130 in 7.86. Here are some times surrounding the 9.4 of Dads_C63.
8.24 - DrivenAgain / CL600 AMG 8.45 - TMC CL65 / Kleeman CL65 8.59 - Dr Jitsu / Supercharged M3 / 1 shift 8.67 - DLSJ5 / Supercharged E46 M3 SMG / 2 shifts 9.62 - M6koo / M6 SMG (intake, exhaust, pulley, tune) / 2-shifts 10.13- Acicchelli / Stock F430 / 3-shifts 9.4 is a great time considering the number of shifts you had to go through. Hopefully you can get it to break into the 8's next attempt. I didn't get to make my clean pass yet, will try again next week.

If you know how to drive a C6 Z06, and in good conditions you can trap 129MPH, that 7.86 was done by Divexxtreme, I'd say one of the best enthusiasts around, in terms of knowing how to do this stuff. I've seen times also in the 8.6 range.
That 10.48 for the Stock M5 was his best ever and in great conditions, most of his runs were in the mid to low 11's.

So what would a standard C63 do 60-130 in then??? I have a C63 that I think was remapped before I got it - I have timed mine and it 10 seconds dead, would this imply its been remapped then???

Timed it with a stop watch or a performance box? Speedo's are not an accurate way to measure acceleration, you need a GPS based performance box. My guess is a standard C63 would probably be in the high 11 low 12 range, but in good conditions you could do better. With a tune 10's are doable.

MURTAZA - Not sure how you pulled on the "Silver Dragon" when he's got the same mods I have. Josh's car is "as fast" if not faster than mine.
You quoted: "I have done runs from a dig and from a roll, mostly from a roll. No 1/4 mile runs or dyno yet. My buddy has a vbox, hopefully we should get some 60-130 numbers soon. The M6 that beat me pulled a 9.6 60-130. What are the best 60-130 numbers for the C63?" That being said, not sure what happened unless your car has gotten faster than a 9.6 or something was going on with Josh's car. Be safe!

Sweet! Finally we have a decent time on that list to represent the C63's.

Murtaza - You have the same issues with gearing that we do. When you start at 60 you are at the extreme low end of your power band. Have you tried starting in the next lower gear and allowing it to run through the shift? Then, if you can get some taller tires and stay in whatever gear you are in until 130 you will have some great 60-130 times. Your car is very fast and 8,000rpm's is nuts!!! WOW, now I can see why Josh's car has issues keeping up. Maybe we need to make some 70-170 runs and that might be better for both of us with respect to gearing and power band.
