Why does the C63 have such crappy bass? I be blastin my homie Game and there is NO SUBWOOFER

I need to shake the entire hood when I roll through! So I'm thinking of just getting one of those bazooka subwoofers in the trunk or something. Is it possible to just get one of those and not an entire system? I don't wanna mess up the electrics or anything. If I do put it in there, how do I control it without one of those ugly radios that you find on civics? Would the bass setting in the control center control that? Can anyone help me?!? In case there's a difference mines an '09

No pics from my install; just check it out on Amazon.com. One of the best things about the Infinity Basslink is the fact that it's one of the easiest powered subwoofers to install, since it doesn't require RCA cables to the stereo head unit; it can be added via speaker wire inputs with a simple speaker wire splice from one of the rear deck speaker.

Having said that, it still took ~ 4 hours for a professional car stereo shop guy to install it...paid him $80.

You have to either buy a separate wire kit or just let a pro install and he'll supply all the necessary wiring, etc.

You will probably want to affix it down with long screws (and yes, you may need to drill down through the trunk mat); it comes with "feet" for bolting it down though. Guys, I don't think anyone is really "pimping out their ride" here; probably just all a poor choice of words (unless the OP really means the "yo, homie, let's roll in my Benz yo" thing

). But seriously, many of us have complained about the C63 HK Logic 7 sound system's lack of bass...it's no secret.

When I bought my C63 AMG and realized it had the HK Logic 7 sound system, I was under the impression it was the same Logic 7 sound system in my '07 BMW 335i...which actually had an 8" subwoofer under the seat std. So, why doesn't the C63 AMG HK Logic 7 sound system have the same subwoofer?

Granted that most of us are also addicted to the sweet sounds of our C63 AMG engine/exhaust, but sometimes, you want to listen to some good music at a decent sound level (especially when cruising on the highway). And, the std. HK Logic 7 sound system without a subwoofer in the C63 AMG just sounds like crap!

Wrong; there's no subwoofer in the rear deck. There are a few speakers in the rear deck, but the crappy, small center 6" x 9" speaker acts as a pseudo-subwoofer.
