18" or 19" ?

I am currently running 265/30/19 Pirelli P-Zero Corsa on the
rear. The best tyre I used thus far.

dunlop starspec is a very good tire and very affordable Khumo XS as well

if you are looking for more forgiving tires on the track then maybe some PS2 or RE11R

not really PS2 will wear out just as quickly as the Pzeros if not maybe a bit slower.

Honestly if you want high performance and great traction you will not get great tread life.

i really don't know what to choose.i need good thread and got traction as i said i was going to hit a wall last night because of the traction on nitto invos it was the most scariest thing happend in my life driving 100 miles and the car slips right and left.

thanks for the advise

hydroplane is very normal when you are almost out of tread on a rainy day

However having low tread on a warm dry day will give you amazing grip.

My sugguestion is go for dunlop starspec, it will probably wear a bit slower than Pzero and hook up just as good. Also very reasonable traction in the rain. A lot cheaper than Pzero though.

Nothing will increase tire life if you have a lead foot

Or try the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric, slightly better tread life and still acceptable performance. You can look at this previous thread:

Alternatives to PZeros

Read this:

I have the Dunlops on and I am beyond impressed. I don't know about Rocky Mountain winters though.

He had them and then switched. I actually went for the nexen n3000 based on hhughes1's recommendation and still have them on my car. After countless burnouts and about 4k i still say there is like 90% treadlife left. These things last for a long time.

How are they bad tires because they are done in 2k miles???

They have a low tread wear rating. Which gives better grip of the road.

Get something with a 300treadwear, they will last much longer, but you will lose performance. They wont grip the road as good as a lower tread wear rating tire.

I have Nexen N3000's on now. They are cheap and 340 tread wear. But they spin like im on ice in first and second gear under full throttle.

I had N3000's on the rear and they are now in the garage like new. Got the Dunlops (4) for the track ( 3 events in 4 months) and when they wear out the Nexen's will go back on.

Can you tell us more on your experience with the Invos? I am planning on trying these. Were they with considerable wear? Rain, snow, ice? I am assuming maybe this is why...
