C63 v CTSV one statement says all you need to know
the C63 is like a stainless steel Rolex Submariner, it says alot about quality style and being a cultural icon. The CTS-V is like a Casio G-shock, its a great watch, it does more than the Rolex but in the end its a Casio, it will always lack the statement the C63 makes. (keep in mind I love all great cars and the CTS-V is a great one, but this explains why I bought the C63 instead)

Both machines ... more potential with the CTS V in aftermarket realm, Cheaper to toy with, but still both amazing cars.
This is a typical marketing and branding statement though.

The CTS-V definitely has a nice interior, as compared to what have currently have in the C63. Only time will tell, what car is better engineered and built. You all know what I prefer? a German engineered barn burner. "The Best or Nothing" is my motto.

actually not really, the numbers say the CTSV is the better car, my tastes say the C63 is. I have no worries about running an AMG product hard on a track, I cant say the same for a Government Motors vehicle, I drove the CTS-V its nice but it feels bigger than my C

This is at least #7.
Stock CTSV is faster than the C63 stock
CTSV is a better track car.
C63 tuned will beat a StockCTSV
Tuned CTS-V will rape, violently, a tuned C63
C63 has a MUCH better exhaust note. - Yes it does...pure sex for a stock exhaust, but no man ever leaves an LSx motor's exhaust stock.
CTSV has a better interior.
CTSV can come in manual...this is big.

I really like the C63...you all know the reasons why. But I'm not sure I can deal with a two-pedal car yet. We'll see how it works out.
But tuning an LSx motor...with a supercharger...is pie - my last C5Z06 has a Maggie and meth, with headers and sounded like the Angels' battle horns.
But I've yet to own an AMG, and it's really tempting. I have a 480rwhp C5Z06 for my track car, so I'm not looking for a track-animal.
These decisions are usually settled with some stupid emotional reaction...or we'd all be driving Accords/Sonatas.
Be good,
TomK

Wow this keeps going on. I personally could care less if its faster, or if it has a better interior (that's what the S class is for) cause it looks like **** to me I would much rather move to the douchebag side and get an ///M.

What a ridiculous comment. A cadillac is a casio? What world do you come from? Basically what you're saying is you bought a c63 because it looks classier and has a silverstar on it. Congratulations, you have awful priorities.

Funny, I'm going through the debate between these two cars again....last time I went with the M3.

Please define a CTSV "Tune"
The C63 is putting down some serious numbers Tune + Headers. The best ive found was a Hennessy CTSV doing 11.14 with 598whp on pump gas.
I don't see a violent rape... show me. Im honestly curious.

I liked the CTS-V a lot, but in the end the dealerships I visited were outdated, understaffed and poorly serviced. The salesman were uninformed and treated me badly. It was difficult to get a test drive and when I finally found one that would drive one around, I had to ride shotgun and only drove the car around the block.
I wanted to like the car, but the thought of having to return to the dealer network and argue with the guy doing oil changes on Cobalts and Enclaves really scared me off....but my brief encounter with the car was great.

The CTS-V is an absolute monster in terms of looks and performance. Saw one last week and it looks menacing, especially the front end.
I love the C63 but I wouldn't mind having a CTS-V.

The best you saw was 598rwhp?, that's not much..."they" have done more. Even still, that's some 200rwhp higher than a stock C63, yes? Roughly 50% more? What's a full exhaust/intake/tune'd C63 putting down these days at the wheels, I"m honestly curious? I'm not so curious though about what it'd cost for the C. I found this over on the V-forum...some 1/4 times... http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...ions-list.html
Apparently, "they" have done better there, too.
For me, the dyno pissing contest doesn't mean much...and I'm not a drag/strip guy either. But you change the pulley, add meth-injection (I"ve used it with phenomenal success), and have a tuner do an honest tune...and that V is going to be basically untouchable for an NA motor. The torque delivery alone would be a game-ender. I'm curious to see the dyno plots of both cars...the torque curves...stock or modded, but modded would be a unfair, no?
Again, I'm debating them both for my daily-driver. I probably won't mod either, as it's pointless for me to mod a car that's not going to do trackwork.
But take either car, modded to whatever level you choose and equal drivers (cause we both know that's what really matters) to Watkins, or Monticello, or Pocono (even East) and the C is going to be violently raped. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I still think I'd like a C63...just sucks that it doesn't have a third pedal.

Not in this argument at all...just providing some info: my dyno numbers and mods are listed in my sig. btw -- the oem stock AMG intake is almost as good as you can get...other aftermarket intakes like the larger volume RENNtech intake may make a bit more HP/TQ, but most will say that it's the ecu flash tune and long-tube headers that add the most HP/TQ to the C63 AMG. There are other mods that can be done to the car, like the lighter weight pulley and cams, etc. as well.
Great numbers from your car, must be a blast to drive!!!
