I like the lowering, but those rims are just too much IMO, needs a cleaner 5 spoke with a nice lip

Am I the only one that thinks once wheels go over a certain size they start to look ridiculous?

Once upon a time Ferrari put a large wing on the back of its F40 because it created downforce at 198 MPH. Five years later Nissan and Toyota dealers couldn't sell their Maximas and Camrys unless some sort of UFO had crash landed on its trunk.

Now the REAL racers and tuners build their cars sans spoilers. Hopefully the same thing will happen with these hideous wheels.

Why would you take a $130,000 Mercedes Benz and then "modify" it with a suspension and some dead weight wheels that kill its performance in every way?

No offense to anyone here, this is just my opinion... but the only place Giovanna wheels belong is on that MTV show "pimp my ride".

Oooh I am going to get some heat for this post. :p

You should see the SLR WCC "modified". Why.... would you do that to an SLR... whats next? chrome duds and a TV or two on a Mclaren F1? I bet they could fit 3 TV's in one... one for each seat...

If you come to Hong Kong, you will be scared to see 5 out of 10 cars on the roads are mercedes. In some article I have read, Hong Kong has the highest number of mercedes and porsche relative to its total population when compared to anywhere else in the world.

Furthermore, the sales price of a e.g. SL55 in USA is only 45% of that in Hong Kong. If a SL55 is selling so cheap in Hong Kong, I am sure any average working class people can afford one. It will just be like buying a BMW 5-series.

Southern Cal is nothing really.

I am not sure if I agree.
In Los Angeles, most cars you see are + $80.000 cars. Compared to other places in the world, or at least most European countries. The standards in L.A is very good, well, if I exclude Compton, and East L.A.

b/c with modified wheels you can run fatter tires and thus get more grip and modified suspension brings the center of gravity of the car lower for better handling and safety.... not every1 buys fast cars and drives them like a *****

some wheels are really nasty and take all the class away from the car... i agree... but if done right it improves the car and not only visualy

Nice car, love the color! Did you take those pics off Ralph Avenue in Bklyn?

Here are a few wheels that are availible in chrome, yet are still classy enough to accent the vehicle (not over power it).
