I'm guessing from how "light" the car is, it should be significantly faster then a C32 AMG.
By the way, I though this was just a rumor !!
Is it going to be produced ?????

sorry i don't know anything about the a-class, just wanted to know if it was rwd (please tell me it is). The idea of a c32 engine inside one of these blew me away.

Its clearly RWD since the engine is not transverse. It would be mechanically impossible to make that a FWD car with the distance from the front wheels to the engine.

Question FWD, only transverse.

If it is impossible for any F(ront)WD car to have a longitudinal engine configuration. How do you allow for all the VW Passats, Audi A4s, and numerous other cars that run that exact configuation. You may want to rethink your mechanical impossibilities.

There's a section on this car in the latest Road and Track magazine - they say it's not a production car - just a one-off made by some rich owner. And it's not made by AMG - by H_A - where the last A stands for the same thing the A in AMG does (forgot the middle letter) - although it does have AMG's supercharged V6.

They say 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds - pretty impressive for a subcompact .

It's a 10 piece serie that costs 300000$ and which was made by HWA, the competition department of AMG.

Panhard 24 CT
Citroën 2 CV
Citroën 11/15 CV (front mid-engined)
Citroën ID/DS series (front mid-engined)
Renault 4 (front mid-engined)
Renault 16 (ditto)
Renault 5 (a.k.a. Le Car - front mid-engined)
Renault 6 (same)

There are more but I' thought I'd spare you...

Actually what i've seen is that the A-Class is coming to USA. Infact i've already seen a couple A160's on the road and such.

And for an American one you can throw in the Dodge Intrepid as well.
