W208 Common Problems Fixed w/Part Numbers

Cap [210-827-00-31] $90.95
(Fixed Broken Rubber Antenna Stem)

Electric Motor [210-820-13-42] $102.50
(Fixed passenger side view mirror. Side view mirror automatically adjusts the view downwards while driving in reverse but would not return to original drive position.)

Seat control unit [208-820-06-26] $231.24
(Fixed passenger seat. Seat moves forward while pressing back button -> and moves forward while pressing <- forward button. Seat will move backwards when using any of the 1-3 programmed numbers. All other seat buttons work. After I ordered the part the seat started to move backwards so I checked the other functions and found the problem moved to the seat not reclining backwards. After replacing the control unit everything works fine.)

I ordered from http://www.oempartsdirect.com/

I had the same type of problem with my seat. My passenger side seat would not slide forward when the fold tab was pulled. I trouble shot my problem to a Fwd and Backward motion motor going bad. Replaced part and bingo all checked 5.0

Just pop off the mirror and unscrew the motor and replace it then pop back on the mirror. Done. Should only take 5 minutes.

The problem was with the Computer, not motor. It is located under the seat, you just have to remove the seat to get to it. I'm was too lazy to do it myself so I had a friend at a shop do it for.
